About Shepshed Foodbank

Shepshed Foodbank is a non profit organisation that collects, stores, and distributes food for individuals and families.

We cater for Shepshed and its surrounding villages and seek to support those who are in crisis and need temporary help to keep themselves and their families fed.

We run a weekly free foodstore where those eligible can choose from a wide range of basic foods and toiletries. Our aim is to help individuals, couples and families by providing enough food for them to feed themselves for three days a week.

We collect donations of food and funds, sort and store the food in our premises, and distribute it directly to those in need.

We also signpost clients to other relevant agencies to help with debt advice and to provide other relevant services.

The Shepshed Foodbank is open every Tuesday from 11:00am to 12:30pm. (Please note – if you are dropping off donations, please come on MONDAYS between 9:30 and 11:00)

We are located at the Glenmore Centre, Thorpe Road, Shepshed. LE12 9LU

We are very keen to self-fund wherever possible and fundraising events take place throughout the year. These are widely advertised and well supported by the local community; at the same time these events help advertise Shepshed Foodbank and the hard work necessary to make it a continued success.

You can see more about our work including updates and events on our Facebook Page

We are not complacent and are constantly looking for ways to improve our service and to provide all clients with as much fresh food as possible, so please do let us know if you have any suggestions or comments.

Thank You!
